Protecting Every Member of the Team:

I2 Partners with FirstSpear to Vest K9 Officers

At Impact Innovations, our core mission is simple and absolute: we protect those that protect us.

That is why we are incredibly proud to announce our partnership with FirstSpear/Recon K9 to support the upcoming Desert Dog Police K9 Trials & Public Safety Expo, hosted by the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association (ALECA).

Our refusal to cut corners when it comes to protecting "those in uniform" is not restricted to human operators - we feel the same about the canine officers working active duty.

Together we will be donating premium FirstSpear K9 tactical vests equipped with Impact Innovations' advanced, Phoenix-manufactured HG2 ballistic soft armor panels for competitors at the trials event. I2’s soft armor is independently certified to meet strict National Institute of Justice (NIJ 07) compliance standards, so we can guarantee the highest quality of protection.

Taking place on October 24th & 25th 2026, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, this premier event is the largest Police K9 competition in the country, showcasing the astounding skills of over 70 canine teams from across the United States.

Ryan Reed, I2 COO, commented "We strive to bring a true sense of service and duty back to the armor industry. By donating these vests we are proudly supporting our law enforcement agencies, equipping these vital K9 heroes with the duty-grade protection they deserve."

We look forward to standing alongside the law enforcement community in Scottsdale this October.

“Our partnership with FirstSpear, and now Impact Innovations, brings together three organizations with a shared commitment to the working K9 community. Desert Dog gives us an opportunity to put that commitment into action by equipping K9 officers with purpose built gear and advanced ballistic protection designed for the environments in which they actually work. We’re proud to stand behind these teams and help protect the dogs that protect all of us.”
